World Festivals Series

Hello all and welcome to the new World Festivals Series (WFS)!

Here I will be writing about all the wicked and crazy festivals going on in the world!

Todays will be The La Tomatina festival celebrated in Bunol, Spain in August.
To those of you who don't understand a word of Spanish (Neither do I) this means the Tomato festival.

The concept of this festival is simple.
All you have to do is throw tomatoes at each other!
Ever wanted to have a food fight?
Well, this is the perfect festival for you.

WHY do they do this?
No reason, just for the fun of it...

If you just happen to go to Spain on a holiday and see this chaos going on, tell me all about it...

The main reason I chose this festival was because I love tomatoes. I eat them literally every day.
I think about half of my body is filled with Tomato.
I think I'm making an great impact on the Tomato economy.
So if you see the Tomatoes sold out in the super markets, its probably me!

If I went to this festival it would be PARADISE.
BUT for those of you "Tomato Haters" maybe not.

Festival criticism: 75/100

Yes, I do indeed love tomatoes but this festival is DANGEROUS (Sploosh)

Look out for more strange festivals!
If you have a awesome festival you want to share, I may introduce it in my next posts!

Boredom

Boredom is not something naturally created. Boredom is something that occurs through our lifestyles. Some people never seem to be bored, for instance my dad. He is always moving busily working, playing sports, meeting friends, cooking, reading, watching television and of course talking to me! But on the contrary people whom are bored seem to be living in one cycle. I used to be like this and sometimes have a tendency of doing so. This is what I mean by living in a cycle.

My schedule

- Waking up at 6:30 SHARP
- Having the usual cereal and juice
- Catching the school bus at 7:20 SHARP
- Arriving to school
- Meeting the SAME friends
- Going to the USUAL classes
- Sitting on the SAME old set with the EXACT SAME friend
- Buying the EXACT same lunch
- Sitting on the exact SAME seat with the SAME people
- Catching the bus home at 3:00 SHARP
- Sitting next to the SAME person
- Arriving home
- Relax and eat the SAME snacks
- Sit down and so my homework
- Have dinner
- Sleep zzz...
- Repeat again

This used to happen to me...
Once you get caught into these cycles it just never ends...
This definitely will get you bored.
I am sure there are more values in life than this.
My dad encouraged me to get into more things and get into something I can spend my time on for days.
So I did...
And my life change from the usual "Ugh I'm bored... what do I do theres nothing to do" to "Ah that was some nice time playing down stairs with my friends!"
If your life is like my old life, I would advise you to get out of the house and do something satisfying.
Well...

My Hero

SHINJI KAGAWA

Shinji Kagawa is a Japanese hero. He is the first Japanese football player to play for
top-flight football team Manchester United. Yes, he is a big star in Manchester now but what makes him my hero?

Firstly, I have been a fan of him for a long time, since he was playing in an minor football team in Japan. I have always watched him play from when he was still an unknown player. I always had a feeling that one day maybe he could be playing in a big club like Manchester united. Watching him play was something very enjoyable. But this is not the only reason. Just because he is a great player does not make him any kind of a hero...

He is truly an hero because he has persevered and has an great ambition to become the great player that he is now. When very young he has left his family to play football and strive to become a professional footballer. This to me is a great challenge. I couldn't imagine living alone before graduating. It must have been a really hard life for him. Nobody to rely on but himself...

Another challenge he faced was going to Germany after 2-3 years in an Japanese minor club. This must have been the challenge of his life. He had never been to any foreign country before and of course he had never spoken an word of German. He also was only 22 when going. It must have been difficult with nobody to really talk to. Alone without his family...

But after fighting all these big challenges he has finally got the fruit out of it. Now he is a world known footballer. But I know it was all because him persevering his dreams...

Japanese history

Sengoku Samurai part 1:

The samurai of the Sengoku period (16th century) were the samurai warlords that controlled
regions of Japan. They fought for territory every day and the power full Samurai would rule
Japan and become a Shogun. The Shogun stands in the second highest status in Japan that has control
over politics just like the President. On top of that is the Tenno Emperor whom is the king of
Japan and is part of the royal family, basically in British terms King! The sengoku samurai can only
become the Shogun in highest but not the Tenno, that is only for the one with royal blood.
But Nonetheless the Shogun had more control over politics, meaning the Tenno actually could
not control the Shogun although rightfully allowed to. Even though the Tenno was considered god
the power of the Shogun was too powerful.

But How could the Shogun be that powerful? It was all because they used to be Sengoku Samurai
whom were battle-hardened men who feared nothing. They fought literally every day avoiding invasions and claiming territory. The best of best out of these strong men would be the powerful Shogun. It was an Sengoku samurai's dream to become a Shogun!

Look out for part 2!

Digestive system Reflection

WHAT DID I LEARN?
I learnt a lot about the Digestive system. It is much too complex than saying it is a system that processes our food. There are many parts of this system that root to the whole process. I learnt the basic parts like the Oesophagus, Stomach, Liver, Small Intestine and Large Intestine and of course the Anus. But It is much more deep than this we learnt complex organs such as the Villi, Duodenum and Epiglottis and its functions.

MEMORIES:
I really enjoyed DISSECTING the pig and breaking it to bits to re-create the Digestive system. We got to "touch" the live pigs systems. I remember squeezing the jelly-like liver and pulling the 7 meter long Small intestine. This gave me the idea of what a digestive system really looked like.

CURIOSITIES???
I was still very curious with what else can be discovered from dissecting and re-searching on the body. I want get into dissecting different animals and find the difference in the digestive system!
